Dear Webmaster

The statement in your recent reply, that you have taken responsibility to defend the honor of Eggie and Areno is an astounding example of Republican arrogance and hubris. In one fell swoop you have disenfranchised two of our most treasured minorities, gays and Hispanics, (and Ricky Martin twice).

You dare presume they are incapable of their own response?  Gays, after removing the usual fare from their mouth, are quite capable of their own defense. Hispanics, after years of audio tapes, have several verbs down cold. How dare you trivialize the contributions of these two groups to our society!  Without gays who would decorate interiors, cut hair, attend Broadway plays, or watch figure skating on TV?  Without Hispanics who would raise urban poultry?

You have stolen their voice just as the Republicans snatched the election in Florida.  I plead that in the future you let the downtrodden speak for themselves, or if they need help, let me do it.  Better the Hippocratic Hemingway than the Hitler Youth.
